Project Requirements
A customer wanted to upgrade their existing physical server farm and expand their VMware virtual infrastructure. At first they have 3 independent ESXi hosts all using ISCSI and local storage.
Solution
We custom build 4 ESXi host to help decommission about 50 physical servers and implemented a Virtual Center for easy management of all ESXi hosts. In addition, we expanded SAN running the ISCSI protocol and increased IT efficiency/availability by eliminating local storage from the infrastructure. Afterwards, they have VM clusters that offers them a high availability and the ability to scale for future expansion.
